I'm sitting squarely on the fence on this one! I can't decide if it was gratuitous gore or a great indie horror. It kind of reminded me of the old school horrors I used to watch as a kid in the 80s so there was a comforting familiarity there but, for me, there was just a real feeling that everyone was trying so hard to be "un-mainstream" (apologies for making up my own words) that it just got weird.I have to write more…reviews need to be a minimum of 10 lines…um…oh, the side story with the friend & the goth chick is amusing & reminds me of my own high school dance experiences, to a point…what else…??? Oh, Lola has cute shoes in the dance scene. I'm googling them in another tab as we speak!
I was browsing for movies to watch when I came across this one. It had actually pretty high ratings for a horror movie exspecilly one with this kind of subject matter so I decided to give it a watch. I was pretty disappointed its not the worst movie out there the acting is nothing special but fair from most of the cast and the story is nothing new. This movie is about a young teenage girl who obsesses over boys then kidnaps them so she and her father can torture them. The story line is really nothing new and this movie takes an awful long time to get going. I am a really big horror fan but this one disappointed. It was too slow to finally get to anything happening and when stuff did happen it was all over too quick. No character development not much of a plot the only reason I give this a five was because it did have some entertaining blood and gore. Watch this and your own risk viewers.
